In Paris, France, Jose Rizal finished his degree in Ophthalmology to pursue his goal to treat the eye of his mother. To practice his profession, he worked at the University Eye Hospital in Heidelberg, Germany. After a few years, he immediately returned to the Philippines to continue practicing his profession in his hometown in Laguna.  

Jose Rizal started writing his novel entitled El Filibusterismo, which led a threat to him and his family. That’s the reason why they immediately traveled to Hong Kong.
