Silang is a municipality in Cavite located near Tagaytay City. It is located in the eastern part of the province that it’s where the municipality name came from (silangan). The municipality is famous for PNP or Philippine National Police Academy.  

The culture and tradition of Silang have a huge influence from the Spaniards during the colonial era. The land of Silang was originally belonged to the land of Diego Jorge de Villalobos. In the year 1746, Silang was purchased for 2,000 pesetas to prevent it from becoming a friar land in Cavite.
