How to apply for
CHED
scholarship?​

Answer:

For those who would like to apply for Commission on Higher Education scholarship (Student Financial Assistance Programs – StuFAPs), read the details below.

• download and fill-out the CHED StuFAPs Application Form
• submit the fully-accomplished application form together with pertinent documentary requirements directly to the CHED Regional Office where the schools that you graduated from are based
• submission of application is from March 1, 2020 to May 31, 2020

Scholarship Qualifications

Applicants must meet ALL the qualifications to qualify for CHED scholarship program.

• Must be an incoming freshman or a college-level student
• Must be a Filipino citizen
• Must be a senior high school graduate and/or candidate for graduation
• The family gross income must not exceed three hundred thousand pesos (Php 400,000.00)*
• Must avail of only one CHED scholarship or financial assistance program
• Must not be a graduate of any degree program

* In highly exceptional cases where income exceeds PhP400,000.00, an applicant must present a written certification or medical findings of illness of a family member, or school certifications of two or more dependents enrolled in college.

CHED’s Types of Scholarships

1. Full Scholarship

• High school graduates must have a GWA of at least 90% or its equivalent
• Must have at least 90% GWA in 3rd year and in the first 3 grading periods of the fourth year

2. Partial Scholarship

• High school graduates must have a GWA of at least 85% or its equivalent
• Must have at least 85% GWA in 3rd year and in the first 3 grading periods of the fourth year

Requirements:

You need to submit these documents:

• High school report card for incoming freshmen students eligible for college.
• Candidate for Graduation in Senior High School
• Duly certified true copy of Photocopy of grades in Grade 11 and 1st semester of Grade 12.
• Certified true copy of the birth certificate
• Proof of Income (any of the following)

>For children of OFWs and seafarers, a photocopy of any of the following:

• The latest copy of the contract;
• Proof of income

>For children of non-OFWs, a photocopy of any of the following:

• Photocopy of the latest Income Tax Return of parents or guardian;
• Certificate of Tax Exemption from the Bureau of Internal Revenue
• Case study from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD)
• Affidavit of No Income
• Certificate of Indigency from Barangay
