The first few months of the community quarantine period was extremely strict and difficult because we were not allowed to go outside our homes. We lost our access to the grocery stores, hospitals and public markets. We were upset because we cannot buy foods and stocks that will suffice for each week. We depended on what our barangay officials will distribute in every household and those were not enough. We ate on a schedule so that we can manage the remaining foods we had.
The pandemic taught us to be prepared for any calamity and crisis that we may encounter. We saw other people who lost their jobs and had lesser than us. No one knew of how this will impact us and everybody were left unprepared.
