Reflection

I’ve realized that NSTP served as an eye opener to us students, as we become aware of the current situation of our country–poverty. I have learned the value of having a family who can provide their basic needs.  I’m very fortunate that I am going to a school with quality education. I realized the blessings that I have right now, that I’m indeed fortunate enough to own the things that I own right now. I also felt gratitude with the kind of different families in that community because even though their condition is not that good and they encounter problems in their daily living, they are still happy and fighting in every challenges of life. Problems Encountered  

During our NSTP deployment there were some problems that we have encountered which we wished to be resolved. This will help the students of Rizal Elementary School to have quality education.

First, the facility for the computer laboratory is inadequate. There are computers that are available, but those were not enough to accommodate the learning of each student. Imagine two or three students sharing the same desktop. It would be a great help if they will have enough computers so that they can easily understand the lesson.

The second problem we noticed is that the students have no background knowledge about the use of computer. They are so excited when they will have hands on maybe because they are rarely using computers and they have no computer class. This should be given attention because computers are really essential nowadays.  

The third problem is the computer is not starting up and took time for us starting it up. Maybe the computer is starting to break. This should have early remedy because the computers are already insufficient this will cause more problem to the students in learning.
